We've been lubricating our spindle assemblies with Phil Tenacious oil since we started selling Micro Fence back in 1993. We still haven't found anything better to keep the micrometer turning with a silky feel without being a "dust magnet". This specially formulated bicycle oil tends to stay in the location where it's applied. Good for a myriad of other applications in the workshop.
