The Micro Fence Edge-Guide can be used to conduct flush-trim operations such as those required in formica or other plastic laminate work

Typically, one would use a bearing-guide bit for this operation, but if there are voids or irregularities in the substrate material, these will be telegraphed to the laminate above.

The basic Edge Guide, with the installation of the two delrin extensions included with every MFC Package, can be set to "envelope" the bit and effectively operate like a jointer.

The micrometer dial affords adjustments to .001", and dead flush trimming. Using the low-profile wooden fence to guide along the substrate of the workpiece, any voids or irregularities are "smoothed" out, resulting in the cleanest possible assemblies suitable for seamless edge banding or surrounds.

The Micro Fence Edge Guide is manufactured with adequate clearance between the top of the fence body and the underside of the router sub-base to accommodate the thickness of plastic laminates.
