CIRCULAR GUIDE APPLICATIONS            1-800-480-6427
Circle Jig
The Circle Jig is available as an accessory to the Edge-Guide, (the Circle Jig Attachment), or as a separate complete tool, (the Circle Jig Complete.)

It pivots from a stainless steel trammel pin and allows easy, precise and repeatable circle cutting from 6-48 inches in diameter. (Longer guide shafts are available for diameters up to 12' - see Large Radii below).

Circle Jig
The Circle Jig, like our Edge-Guide, features the Micro Fence micrometer dial which provides a means of measurement and/or adjustment. This makes the jig unique for producing even the most demanding of cuts like mating radiuses.

An Aluminium Sub-Fence is included with every Circle Jig allowing it to perform parallel straight cuts as seen in photo at left. Useful for shelving dadoes, drawer dividers, cassette slots for audio cabinets or even dentil mouldings.

We highly recommend using the Stabilzer Bar accessory for making heavier cuts or longer radii. It maximizes rigidity and affords the most prescise cutting possible. Our recommendation is to employ the Stabilizer Bar/Stabilizer Bar Levelers every 24" - 30" to support the stainless steel rods parallel to the work surface (see section below on large radii).

The Circle Jig Attachment is also an integral component of other Micro Fence accessories, including the Ellipse Jig and the Tru-Grip Clamp Interface.

Aluminium Sub-Fence

"The Micro Fence is so precise and quick to adjust that it makes it effortless to perform any fence-guided routing operation with 'tack-sharp' accuracy. It's as useful as it is beautiful."

Vacuum Center Assembly
Vacuum Center Assembly (VCA)
Vacuum Center Assembly (attached to Circle Jig)
Vacuum Centers being assembled in our Micro Fence workshopFor work requirements in which a pilot hole is unacceptable, our Vacuum Center Assembly provides the ability to cut curves and circles without one. Diameters range from 16" to 48", (longer rods may be added for larger diameters up to and beyond 10').

Utilizing compressed air (80-100 psi) and roughly 3cfm, this tool will generate a continuous vacuum to securely anchor the center of your Circle Jig to most work surfaces, including cabinet-grade plywood, MDF, high pressure laminates and solid surface materials. The Vacuum Center Assembly features a push button release and 90 degree laser-etched hatch marks for simple, precise, alignment to your own pencil-marked center lines.

When your work requirement calls for a clean unmarked surface, or when maximum set-up efficiency is an issue, this accessory offers unparalleled results.

"As far as precision, engineering quality, and ease of set-up, the MICRO FENCE EDGE GUIDE SYSTEM for routers still occupies a class by itself. This Vacuum Center accessory has the same genes."

Large Radii: Every Circle Jig (whether it's sold as an attachment as a completely separate tool), comes with two pairs of 12" stainless steel rods, enabling radii of up to 24" to be cut. We also offer 24" & 36" rods that will cover radii of up to 72". Even larger circles can be generated if you fabricate longer rods (5/16" stainless bar is available at most any metal supplier across the country).

Rich was recently commissioned to make a circular bookcase requiring 7' and 8' radii. In the process of fabricating , he discovered a couple of additional Circle Jig accessories that refine the Micro Fence System even further.

First, to eliminate sag in rods that span over large distances (actually, anything more than 3'), we've found that by slotting one hole in our leveling brackets that are part of our Center Bar & Leveler Kit, they can be mounted under our Stabilizer Bar to support the rods of the circle jig, eliminating any sag in the rods and insuring that the router at the end of the jig is sitting flush and that the bit will be truly perpendicular to the work surface.

Additionally, when repetitive cuts must be made, (we had to cut 15 circular shelves for our job), we've made a Center Pin Sleeve that can be inserted in a 1/4" hole to insure that the center pin will have a secure and unchanging position, regardless of how many cuts are made. See Packages and Prices for pricing details.

The size of circle that can be made using our equipment is limited only by the length of rod that is used. Stainless steel is usually available in 12' lengths.
